Welcome to Elba Elementary!
Elba Elementary's principal, Mrs. Strickland, has been with Elba City Schools since first starting her career as an educator in 2007. She received a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Troy University Dothan in 2007. She then later attended Auburn University Montgomery where she received her Master's of Education Degree in Educational Leadership. Prior to becoming the elementary principal, she taught kindergarten, 4th-6th grades, as well as served as the instructional coach for Elba City Schools. She has also held various leadership positions on several committees throughout her career.
As your elementary principal, Mrs. Strickland said that she believes that all children can learn but each learns in a different way and at different rates. It is her belief that through hard work and perseverance, Elba City Schools' staff will have a positive impact on each student's future. Mrs. Strickland welcomes and encourages you to come visit in order to experience the various learning opportunities that are provided to the students on a daily basis. It is her goal to keep the atmosphere positive as well as the lines of communication open among students, parents, and staff. She believes that all students will be able to reach their full potential when everyone works as a team .
